Trivia Night
Ten questions, on the room's phones.
You hold up a code; people scan it and answer on their phones. You reveal the answer when the room has voted, then move to the next question. No app, no account — and nothing is stored.
You'll get a code and a QR to hold up. The ten questions are already loaded — you just push each one, reveal, and go on.
Or ask one question of your own
One question, two plausible answers, and what the answer changes in practice. It works best on something the room is not expected to know: then a wrong tap costs nobody anything, and the reveal is the part worth hearing. Ask people to confer in pairs before they tap and the whole thing takes ninety seconds.
A worked example — the fields below are filled in with it,
and it is about the phones in the room right now:
“When every phone here lights up at the same instant, what is each
phone waiting for?” — “The picture, arriving over the wifi” /
“A signal under one kilobyte; the picture was already there.”
The second is right, and it is why this still works in a room where the
wifi does not. Change it to anything you like, or run it as it stands.
