Roost

Meet back at the gift shop at 2:40.

One place, one time, and everyone's phone counting down to it. For a group strung out over a block, or three floors of a museum. No app, no account, nothing to install.

How long is this?

You'll get a code and a QR to share. Anyone in the circle can call a roost, not just you — and the circle closes itself when the time is up, so it can't be left open by accident.

How it works

Nobody gets buzzed

Your phone won't ring in a gallery or go off in your pocket — it can't, and that's on purpose. A roost is waiting on the screen the moment you look, which is the moment you need it.

The countdown runs on the phone itself. Once it's set, a basement, a gallery or a parking garage makes no difference to it.

Tap when you get there. Everyone still waiting sees the count, so the question "are we waiting on one person or four" has an answer. Not coming is a button too — that's a normal thing to tap, not a confession.
